This ELT lesson
plan is designed around a short film titled Treasure. In the lesson students
practise using treasure, describe a moral value, watch a short film, and
predict how the film will end and speak about the film.
Step 1
Write a common sentence in society
using treasure.
Example:
That treasure would have been hidden in that island.
Step 2
Get your students to explain their sentences to their partner.
Step 3
Tell your students they are going to
watch a short film titled Treasure in
which they see an old woman. As they watch they should notice in what ways the old
woman try to find out her treasure. Show the film until 01:00.

Step 4
Get students to compare their answers and then hold a whole class
discussion on how the old woman try to find out her treasure.
Step 5
Ask your students the following question:
What happen in the film illustrate?
Try to elicit students’ answers about that the film illustrates a common happen in
society where old woman usually live alone and try to find out her true
treasure.
Step 6
Tell your students that the old woman will be happy. Put them into small
groups and ask them to predict the rest of the story.
Step 7
Show the rest of the film.
Step 8
Put your students into pairs and ask them to discuss the following
questions:
§ 1. How does the film make you feel?
§ 2. What’s the film’s message?
§ 3.Does the film accurately reflect society?
Step 9
Hold a whole class discussion based on the questions form based on the step
